Dave Portnoy Mocks Blake Lively for Joining Taylor Swift to Cheer for Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Against Jets

Dave Portnoy has enough reasons to be in the public eye. Having founded the popular sports culture company Barstool Sports, Dave has engaged in several controversial bouts. Therefore, his name ‘King of Controversy’ justifies his actions as a forthright social media personality. Despite this, his candid statements also make sense oftentimes. Not failing to mock and take jabs at popular entities, Dave’s recent mockery grabbed more attention. The only reason is Taylor Swift.

On Sunday night, at MetLife Stadium, Taylor Swift didn’t miss a chance to cheer on her rumored boyfriend. In the Chiefs vs. Jets NFL game, several other personalities were present too. But Dave, being Dave, fueled a controversy surrounding Swift’s bff Blake Lively’s presence.

The electrifying battle between the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs invited NFL fans onboard. Taylor, the 12-time grammy winner, made her special visit in a long-sleeved black top and blue denims. Alongside Swift, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds joined the cheerleaders tribe as well. Though Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s rumored NFL beau, was on head-on with the Jets, Portnoy questioned Lively.

He took to his ‘X’ post to write a sarcastic comment on Lively cheering on Kelce’s team, City Chiefs. He wrote, “Facts. Blake Lively out here cheering for the Chiefs like she grew up in Overland Park, Missouri.” His blatant comment has surely affirmed his disliking for the movie star’s enthusiasm. The original post read, “Taylor called up all her friends like 2 weeks ago and said “hey, I’m in the mood to get really into football. Do it with me. And they did!!!”

He made his comeback after three weeks of tearing his Achilles four snaps into his debut with the New York Jets. Aaron Rodgers recently took a flight back to New Jersey after spending time in California recovering from surgery. He returned to the Jets on Saturday and was present for a team meeting that evening, per ESPN. Unfortunately, he was sidelined for the game for his persisting issues. However, his Jets teammates loved to have him around for useful insights and game strategies.
