Dave Portnoy has not minced his words supporting Jim Harbaugh against his suspension from his post. The controversy started when the Big Ten Conference claimed that Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the Michigan Wolverines, was involved in illegal sign-stealing. In the initial list of convicts, the name of a recruiting analyst for the Wolverines aired. Soon after that analyst, Conor Stalions resigned from his post. However, Tony Pettiti, the de facto commissioner of the NCAA, handed a three-match suspension order to coach Jim Harbaugh for the case. That hastiness of the NCAA did not go well with the University and Michigan and the player and fan community. Jim Harbaugh appealed against the ruling given by Tony Pettiti. Meanwhile, he achieved support from his team, support staff, and Dave Portnoy.?

Since then, Dave Portnoy has gone all guns blazing after the NCAA, Tony Pettiti, and all others who have thrown allegations against Jim Harbaugh. Through the merchandise made by his company, Barstool Sports, he has continued to protest. But, after the latest development in the case against Jim Harbaugh, Dave Portnoy has received support from someone special.?

In the pregame warmups against Merryland, Roman Wilson posed his support for Dave Portnoy?s campaign, Free Harbaugh. The wide receiver for the Wolverines danced down the off-court wearing the aforementioned merchandise of Barstool Sports. That could not evade Dave Portnoy?s gaze. Soon, he took to X to show his acknowledgment of this silent protest. His caption read, ?Love Americas Team wearing our Free Harbaugh shirt to the game today.? Meanwhile, arguments and counter-arguments poured into the comment box. Previously, in the match against Penn State, the support staff, Sherrone Moore, expressed his support for Jim, teary-eyed.?

However, the latest development has shown an otherwise picture. On November 16, the University of Michigan and Jim Harbough agreed to drop their restraining appeal against the Big Ten Conference order. Moreover, Jim has shown his readiness to serve the penalties inflicted on him. In return, the Big Ten Conference has promised to shut down its month-long investigation of stealing play-calling signals.

However, that did not seem to surprise Dave Portnoy. He posted the aforementioned tweet even after the final judgment on the case. Later, he retweeted ProFootballTalk?s tweet on the final verdict of the case. He again glorified Barstool Sports? merchandise for his campaign. His caption read, ?*wears Barstool Sports “Free Harbaugh” T-shirt?. ??
