Shannon Sharpe has been known for his one-of-a-kind verdicts on his talk shows. And he has never been hesitant about his views on any event or a player’s performance. In the recent course of events, he had a good exchange of comparison banter with another former NFL star while discussing a team’s performance.

When there are two greats of the game on the same stage, opinions can often clash, and such was the case when Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was compared with rising quarterbacks like Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence. However, live polls conducted during the discussion painted a different picture.

Shannon Sharpe, a former NFL tight end and current co-host of FS1’s “Undisputed,” has been known to express critical views on Dak Prescott. Shannon was joined by the former NFL star wide receiver, Chad Johnson himself, discussing a hypothetical situation, which left both of them had a funny banter. Comparing Dak Prescott with the rising QBs, Shannon said, “If I say you got one quarter-mile to go start the game with Trevor Lawrence, you’ve got Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence, which one do you take?” Well, Chad being Chad, he said, “I am going with Dak.”

Making it a bit tricky for him, Sharpe asked, “Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott?” Chad in no mood to put down his swords, said, “I am going with Dak again. With all due respect to Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence, what do they do that much god damned better than dak prescott?” But Sharpe has stated that he does not consider Dak to be a top-10 quarterback.

As the comparison got heated up, Shannon Sharpe put up a poll to hear it from the audience, he said, “We just put a poll up because we do it live on YouTube and they say, Who would you rather have? Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott? Right now Justin Herbert is winning 90% of the votes and Dak got 10.” Finding it odd in the crucial comparison, Chad exclaimed, “A what???” Soon after the first comparison, Shannon put another poll comparing Dak Prescott with Trevor Lawrence and it got even more bitter for Chad than the first one.

The ‘trash’ remarks from the poll

As the second poll’s result came in, Shannon put it straight up to Chad’s face and giving Trevor Lawrence a reference said, “He is at 91%.” The polls suggested that viewers might have a different opinion than the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver who has often praised Prescott’s leadership and performance on the field. Chad Johnson firmly siding with Dak questioned the polling system, he said, “You know there’s something wrong with your grading system over there.”

As fiery as he has ever been, Shannon making an uncommon remark, said, “But my grandpa used to tell me and my brother, he’d tell us to take the trash out but when would come back home, guess where the trash was? Still in the corner, he said now y’all tell me you’ll gonna take the trash out and I see better than I hear. Because I see the trash but I heard what y’all said. I hear what you said but I see what the polls are telling me.” He even mentioned that every quarterback in the AFC West, which includes Justin Herbert, is better than Dak.
