“Deion was not what I was expecting, I was expecting when I met Deion that we were going to get the ‘Prime Time’ character, so to speak that I had watched growing up...” Portnoy confessed. “We got a really funny down to earth guy. Dave’s admiration for the legend stems from how down to earth Deion is. The fact that Deion has not changed even after fame is truly commendable. The man is super approachable and chill, a rare quality to have these days.

A humble man of faith and family

Deion, synonymous with sports excellence, has a journey as diverse as his accomplishments. Beginning with his early life and NFL career, he made an indelible mark on the gridiron. His 14-year NFL tenure, spread across five different teams, showcased him as one of the finest cornerbacks and return specialists in the game’s history.

Sanders is the only player to have appeared in both a Super Bowl and a World Series, and he won two Super Bowl rings with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. He also played for four MLB teams, including the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves.
