Amid Relentless Fan Trolls: “Shannon Sharpie” Has Chad Johnson Cracking Up Over Makeup Blunder

As a former NFL player, Shannon Sharpe has made his mark well in the world of sports broadcasting. Sharpe joined ESPN’s show ‘First Take’ on September 4. Since that day, his presence on First Take has made fans enjoy the morning show even more. But recently, it was his makeup that was louder than his famous takes.

It all started when Sharpe appeared on the show as per usual. But this time his face looked completely different. With lips that looked ‘purple’ and a face so “heavy”, it was obvious who the culprit was. Turns out Sharpe’s makeup artist was new on set. But that didn’t stop fans from reacting hilariously. Looks like even Sharpe’s defense of his new makeup artist won’t stop fans from commenting about it. All this has Chad Johnson hooting with laughter.

Known for hosting the ‘nightcap show’ with Chad Ochocinco Johnson, Sharpe recently explained all that happened on set. Sharpe described to Ochocinco the reason behind his “little heavy” makeup. The Instagram video shared on the channel is a testament to all that Sharpe said. The caption of the video reads, “Come for @shannonsharpe84 discussing his makeup on @firsttake — stay for the reaction from @ochocinco”

Talking to Ochocinco, Sharpe joked, “Today, this lady added some makeup that I don’t normally wear. I’m a dark-skinned fella. Make a long story short, I’m black. It ain’t no dark skin. I’m black.” But that was not all. Sharpe jokingly said, “…she put on a little heavy… They got me damn… They killin’ me today. It’s like she took a butter knife and spread that thing on your boys face…”

Sharpe also joked about his lips. “She had my lips like that; they pulling on a tailpipe…I’m like AHHH! I looked damn hold on! I don’ spoke them milds like that no mo’…how she got my lip like I’ve been smoking on a tailpipe?” As soon as Sharpe said those words, Ochocinco burst out laughing. But that’s not the only part of the news. Fans have added more to the hilarious situation.

Faulty makeup costs Shannon Sharpe a change of name

As was expected, fans around the globe have reacted to Sharpe’s new makeup look. After Sharpe tweeted about the incident, fans quickly responded with jokes and comments. One fan pointed out how Sharpe looked different. The tweet read, “You looked like Shannon Sharpie.” 

Another person drew a parallel between Sharpe’s new appearance and that of Dracula. As the tweet was self-explanatory, Sharpe’s new look had this user add reference as well!

If the “Dracula” analogy wasn’t enough, one user tweeted how he looked like a vampire. But not just any vampire. This one is based in Brooklyn.

One fan joked about how they initially thought it was the TV color that was high and not Sharpe’s makeup. This one is a testament to the amount of makeup that was put on.

But fans didn’t stop there. Another user jokingly suggested the makeup artist’s former profession, one that deals with caskets and funerals.

That being said, Sharpe’s hilarious reaction proved his dynamic personality. One that takes no shame in defending his makeup artist while simultaneously enjoying the jokes!
