As a former NFL tight end player, Shannon Sharpe has given his best for all the games he played in 14 long seasons. But the three-time Super Bowl champion has other talents as well. Post-retirement, Sharpe has carved a name for himself in the sports broadcasting world. After joining Stephen A. Smith for ESPN’s ‘First Take,’ Sharpe does not wish to stop there. He has come up with a new podcast with Chad Ochocinco Johnson.

The ‘nightcap show’ started airing on October 4. It sure has changed commentary style for the better. With hilarious responses and astonishing takes, Sharpe and ‘Ocho’ bring rib-tickling views to the table. A week after its inception, the duo hit 50k subscribers. It had marked “rusty a** crying” response from Ochocinco. But this is not where the good news ends. The show has hit another milestone in just three days.

From pop culture to sports news, the duo covers it all! Recently, Sharpe took to Twitter to express his gratitude. After hitting 100k YouTube subscribers, Sharpe tweeted, “Thanks 2 every1 that clicked subscribe”

His tweet was in response to a post shared by a sports channel named @TimeoutSPORTS__. The channel congratulated both Sharpe and Ochocinco. The tweet read, “@NightcapShow_ just hit 100k YouTube subscribers Congrats @ShannonSharpe x @ochocinco” As the duo hit a big milestone in their journey, one needs to point out how the two reacted after knowing that they hit 50k subscribers in the first place.

Ocho can cry on cue?

On Monday, October 16, Ochocinco posted a video on his Instagram. The video shared was a clip from the ‘nightcap show.’ It was centered around Sharpe informing Ocho about hitting 50k milestone. Sharpe said, “We just got 50 thousand subscribers and we only had a channel available only for a week…I want to say thank you from Unc and Ocho.” But Ocho decided to give his response in a theatrical manner.

Ocho, removing his sunglasses, said, “Boy, you got me crying…that’s how much it means to me. You got me crying. I don’t even cry.” But these weren’t your real tears. Sharpe said, “Rusty a** crying, Ocho! This man just told me a month ago he ain’t got no tear ducts.” Ocho, correcting Sharpe, said, “I just wanna show you I can cry on cue for any producers…I just had to show you I could cry on cue.”
