On his eponymous show, Stephen A. Smith launched into an impassioned offensive against Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs’ tail end is reportedly the beau of singer Taylor Swift. Swift was present when the Chiefs beat the New York Jets on Sunday. While Kelce did not set the world alight in that game, the Chiefs did just enough to eke out a victory by a 23-20 scoreline.

Taylor Swift was in the stands when the Chiefs trounced the Chicago Bears 41-10 the week before. She also shared a hug with Kelce’s mother, Donna, while watching on from a private suite. The couple, though, have yet to put a label on their relationship. At the moment, all that is doing the rounds is speculation from the fans.

None would know but for Travis Kelce!

Stephen A. Smith noted that Kelce’s attempts to “get with” Taylor Swift were public knowledge for one reason alone. He named that singular reason Travis Kelce. Smith referred to that episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast where he revealed that factoid. Kelce had then added that he thought the attention from the fans excessive. Smith considered that a strange tactic from the tail end.

As Smith put it, “Now, Kelce is going to sit up there and be like it’s too much, it’s too much. Him and his brother Jason on the New Heights Podcast. They’re talking about it’s too much, too much, too much. Kelce, my brother, you know that your boy Stephen here loves you. I love the h**l out of you, bro. You know that. You’re my man, you know that. Stop that nonsense, stop it. You started this.”

Smith thought it rich coming from the tail end after he instigated that chain of events. None would have learned of it without Kelce divulging it, according to him. He then added, “The world wouldn’t have known that you reached out to her [Taylor Swift], tried to get with her unless, you know, you told us. You know, leaving your number with her or something or talking about something with her at a concert, wanted to meet her before one of her concerts but she don’t talk before concerts to save her voice and all of this other stuff, you did that. We wouldn’t have known.”

Smith suggested that there might be a little skullduggery behind the scenes. He reckoned that the production team behind the Kelce brothers’ podcast played a role. He noted, “You let the world know. And I know who produces your podcast. Smith pointed to the increase in female viewership that possibly followed Taylor Swift to the NFL. He said, “The game itself saw a 53 percent increase in female viewers aged 12 to 17, by the way. A 34 percent increase in female viewers above 35 and a 24 percent increase in female viewers aged 18 to 24, according to the research I did.” Apart from all these speculations going around it also seems that the pop singer is truly loved by the Kelce family leaving everyone in more doubt. 

The Kelce family likes Taylor Swift

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, speculation that Travis Kelce was dating the pop star first surfaced in July. Kelce was in the crowd as Taylor Swift performed at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium as part of The Eras tour. At the time, Kelce tried to give a friendship bracelet with his number to the singer.

Travis Kelce said as much on the New Heights Podcast with his brother Jason. After that, he invited her to watch the game against the Bears. If the Enquirer is to be believed, Taylor Swift made quite an impression on his friends and family. They reportedly enjoyed her company.
