Jonathan Owens has just landed himself a $4.75m deal in the NFL. While Simone Biles’ husband is enjoying the caviars of his hard work, there are athletes who are struggling to find a footing. Recently, an NCAA Division 1 footballer has taken to social media to vent out his frustration. Unfortunately for the athlete, his rant on X backfired as fans hit back with scathing comments.

Several comments were directed at how the NCAA athlete had an attitude problem. Well, finding an unexpected ally in Jonathan Owens, the college athlete got some wise advice. After all, Owens does know a thing or two about struggles.

The athlete in question is Brandon Tryon Jr. Competing out of Blinn College, Tyron plays as a wide receiver. And like any other athlete, Tryon too, has high ambitions. Reposting Tryon’s tweet, Jonathan Owens stated, “You ain’t gotta go D1 to make it brotha, go where they want you. If you good enough they’ll find you!!!”

Owens explained that to make it big in life, one need not necessarily play first division. Instead, focusing on performance was of utmost importance. If Tryon would perform, good things are bound to happen for him. In a recent turn of events, the NCAA footballer Brandon Tryon Jr has been asked to prove his worth by playing in the second division. Well, such an evaluation of himself most probably ticked off Tryon’s nerves.

Taking to his X account, the NCAA wide receiver wrote, “Im not going d2 or lower so yall can forget about that. I put my trust in you lord Jesus Christ and I thank you for the blessing I have received!!! If I don’t receive a pwo or offer I will be walking on @UHCougarFB and competing for a spot then I’ll earn a scholarship!!!!!!”

Tryon mentioned that instead of going down by a division, he would likely audition as a preferred walk-on for the Houston Cougars. The youngster also aspired to impress the team and bag a scholarship to secure his future. While Owens’ pep talk might have calmed Tryon’s nerves a bit, this is not the first instance of Owens supporting young athletes.

Jonathan Owens has been spotted supporting young athletes recently. In most of his tweets, there are glimpses of NCAA athletes or children practicing the art of playing football. In fact, Owens, along with his Olympian wife, Simone Biles was seen donning the colors of Chicago White Sox recently

Back in 2023, Jonathan Owens arranged a football training camp for the kids. Working with the CBC High School Town and Country kids, Owens spent time with them to teach them the nitty-gritty of professional football. Thus, all in all, it is evident that Owens might have bagged a huge deal with the Chicago Bears. But his humility to give back to the community transcends his ego of being an NFL star.
