The 29-year-old athlete made his NFL debut with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 as an undrafted free agent. He then played for the Houston Texans as well before going to the Packers roster.

His latest signing has earned him a great upsurge in terms of salary, as his contract with the Texans for the same duration earned him $1,390,000 while he was getting paid $1.01 million for a one-year contract with the Green Bay Packers.

In 2023, he recorded 84 tackles, including two for a loss, a single forced fumble, a sack, and three pass defenses. The first ever touchdown of his career also came in the same season against the Detroit Lions.

Among the 61 football safeties who played at least 600 snaps in 2023, Owens places at #50 in overall grade rankings, and it also includes postseason games where he earned 927 defensive snaps.
