Following the gilded night of Monday, the Michigan Wolverines’ world has changed. The much-criticized football team in the Big Ten jumped into a swanky tale that often felt unbelievable. Their NCAA Football title-winning performance against the second-seeded Washington Huskies earned them the due credit. The top-seeded team never felt it was a cakewalk, despite the scoreline showing a different affair. Rather, the victory chance was bleak as the Wolverines’ last title victory came in 1997, sharing with the Cornhuskers.
So, after the final whistle of Monday night’s game, the team and its fans didn’t miss a single celebration to share the fun. The list included a Paralympic legend.

The Paralympic track and field phenom Nick Mayhugh doesn’t miss his best-loved football team’s on or off-court engagements. Moreover, on the NCAA Football title game day, he took several banters against the Wolverines’ opponents in funny colors. The reason was evoking as when last time Michigan Wolverines won its College Football Championship, Mayhugh was just 1-year-old. So the brewing fanfare erupted after the Wolverines decimated the Huskies. NBC Olympics and Paralympics took a special note of the reigning Paralympic champion’s gesture and posted the visual on X. “Paralympian @nickmayhugh wasted NO time celebrating @UMichFootball’s national championship! #GoBlue”.

The intrepid athlete delved into the fun by pronouncing the latest dernier cri, “go blue” with thumping on his chest. The mode extended with Mayhugh’s trademark running wear, holding the ultimate Michigan Wolverines logo. That paired well with his socks, printed with the “Go Blue” tagline. Soon, the sprinter disappeared in his track, minding his Paralympic drills, wearing the champion’s color. The X-post didn’t go unchecked by another track and field monarch, Noah Lyles. Showing his share of support, he reshared the NBC Olympics and Paralympics’ post within hours. However, those two were not the only Olympians to harbor fan love.
