Canadian rapper and singer, Aubrey “Drake” Graham, is the face of the rap industry. The 5-time-grammy winner influence can’t be ignored. He released his eighth new solo studio album, ‘For All the Dogs’ on October 6. As was expected, fans went crazy over it. The album was trending in the first week itself. But not all are happy about it. Drizzy managed to hurt Budden’s sentiments yet again and Stephen A Smith has a clear favorite in the feud.

Retired American rapper Joe Budden’s feud with Drake can be traced back to 2016. This time, however, Drake clapped back equally. As the news resurfaced, a certain American TV host and Basketball pundit shed light on the issue. The host is none other than Stephen A. Smith. Known for his dynamic point of view, Smith’s podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show” is your one-stop destination for sporting and pop culture news. This time, Smith has taken over the Drake-Budden feud. With all that is going on, Smith thinks Drake was a “bit harsh.”

If Drake’s new album hit the charts on 6 October, Stephen A. Smith was ready with a podcast to discuss it. Released on 10 October, Smith’s new episode was called “Drake is on another level Stephen A. Smith breaks down Joe Budden vs Drake beef.” In the episode, Smith shed light on the beef between two rappers. As Smith analyzed both the rapper’s comments, he said, “So you can see where Joe Budden was coming from. You can see how he felt, but I didn’t expect Drake to go back at him like this.”

Being the perfect host that he is, Smith read the comment that Drake had written to Joe Budden. All of which compelled Smith to give his take. Talking about it, he said, “Well damn, damn. That was a bit harsh, to say the least. Digging the past rivalry, Smith also said, “I don’t recall when the timeline began. I think it was somewhere around 2016… The pair first clashed after Joe Budden criticized Drake’s fourth album entitled Views.” As Smith analyzed the feud, he shared what the two rappers had said to each other, which led to the fiery feud.

Writing about it, he said, “You have failed at music…” And Drizzy did not stop there. He wrote, “We know you for doing this…you withdrew from rap not cause you accomplished all you need to it’s cause it wasn’t working for you.” Sharing both their responses, Smith, in his episode, also tried to credit both the rappers for their work.

Smith was appreciative of both the rappers. He said, “Drake is the real one. Drake is a special one, no doubt, but I got a lot of respect for Joe Budden.” As Smith gave his variable inputs, one can only hope for both rappers to come on mutual terms of peace. Fingers crossed.
