The Denver Nuggets have created history by winning their first-ever NBA championship. Miami Heat was defeated by Nuggets on 12th June, in Game 5, and completed the series win with a 94-89 game at an overjoyed Ball Arena Denver. The Nuggets experienced this victory after 47 years in the league.

A name who has lived up to the team’s victory was ‘Nikola Jokic’. Many famous faces have congratulated them, including Mikaela Shiffrin. Mikaela, the eminent skier, and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, fueled Denver Nuggets’ success with her Twitter post on 13th June. Seemingly the fans also joined her to wish the Nuggets with full of joy.

The American world cup alpine skier, Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin tweeted about the Nuggets by reacting to their first NBA victory. She congratulated the team by saying- ” HOLY MOLY @nuggets- BROUGHT IT IN! FIRST EVER CHAMPIONSHIP!!! YESSSSSS #Bringitin.” Apparently, the team performance of the Nuggets was commendable.

 

Nikola Jokic, the Serbian big man?s playoff has been nothing less than sensational this postseason. Jokic created a historical moment by becoming the first NBA player to record 500 points, 250 rebounds, and 150 assists in a single postseason. Jokic, the Serbian basketball star was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.

Denver?s center, Jokic has won The 2023 Bill Russell NBA finals award along with his other laurels like, All star game appearances, 5 All NBA Selections, 2 regular seasons Most Valuable Player, a Western Conference Final MVP award, and having the NBA championship under his belt.

?The job is done, we can go home now?, said Jokic after making the biggest game in Denver Nuggets? history with 28 points and 16 rebounds. This was a relief for the Denver Nuggets and their fans across the world. But the Heat’s defense was visibly hard to break, said Jokic.

Jokic’s Comments on Miami Heat?s defense tactics

The Nuggets heeded the call for history after creating magic this entire postseason and adapting to Heat?s obstacle or defensive wrinkle was thrown their way. The Heat threw a variety of puzzled defenses at Jokic. ?It?s kind of like a chess game. They are one move, we are another move?, said Jokic.

Jokic?s partner, Michael Porter Jr had a double-double of 16 points and 13 boards, and Jamal Murray chipped in 14 points to dampen Miami Heat. It was far from a vintage Nugget performance in Game 5.
