Nikola Jokić loves his horses more than anything. The Denver Nuggets Center owns several horses and also plans to expand. His Denver teammate, Aaron Gordon, had also cruised along with Jokić to enjoy the equestrian race. Both NBA champs attended the thrilling racing adventure at a local racetrack near Jokić’s home. The unguardable NBA MVP had a good time at the race as his beloved horses scored him another victory. Nikola Jokić showed an organic but massive rise in his career, much like the legendary Spur Tim Duncan. Both players took their time to rise but became unfathomable once they got in their zone.

Jokić’s interest in equestrian sports also came up as a slow and pleasant surprise. The NBA star had made a crucial announcement before heading into the finals. He spoke about his fondness for horses and said he’d buy a new horse irrespective of the final’s result. The Denver Nuggets roster always gets fascinated by Jokić’s love for equestrian sports. In fact, the NBA elite takes more pride in his horse racing ribbons than his MVP trophies. Nikola Jokić’s father, Branislav, spoke to the Associated Press and revealed a shocking truth about his son.

NBA star aimed to be an equestrian

Nikola Jokić’s father said his son was passionate about horse racing. He revealed that he had to sit Jokić down and convince him to be a basketball player before becoming a racer. This is a massive revelation. Denver may not have won its maiden championship if his father had not convinced him.

Jokić came straight home once he was done with the marching celebration of the Denver Nuggets. The NBA giant chose to opt out of the FIBA World Cup and spent his time at the racetracks. This shows his immense dedication to his horses despite being an absolute monster in a totally other ‘ball game.’ Jokić will return to the NBA preseason and play his first match against Kevin Durant’s Phoenix Suns on 10th October.
