Dave Portnoy has become something of a fixture at the Boston Celtics‘ games in recent weeks. It was not that long ago when he turned up to see the Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics prevailed then, 117-107 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. They also won in their most recent meeting, 125-119 at the TD Garden.

At the same venue, the Celtics beat the New York Knicks 133-123 tonight. Dave Portnoy was present there with Elio Imbornone, Mr. Ice himself. While Portnoy was engrossed in the action on the court, Imbornone split his attention between the court and Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada.

After taking to X, Dave Portnoy shared a post where he pulled his best friend’s leg. Portnoy shared a five-second clip of Imbornone watching the Edmonton Oilers hosting the Minnesota Wild on his phone. They occupied courtside seats at the TD Garden. He wrote, tagging his friend’s X handle in the post, Wanna go to Celts game, @elio82?”

As of 11.20 pm ET, the Oilers led the Wild 4-3, with around 08:00 remaining in the third period of the game. Evan Bouchard scored his second goal of the game in a Power Play early into the third period to give the Oilers the lead. Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was involved in all four of his team’s goals up to that point, though he did not get on the scoresheet himself.
