Bruce Lee pioneered martial arts in Hollywood in the 70s. Showing his marvels in movies like Enter the Dragon (1973), Lee created a new genre based on Chinese martial arts. Later on, kung fu practitioners such as Jackie Chan held on to that legacy and combined the art of fighting with comic timing and proceeded with the tradition. Even though these two legends had very little time together, they made history.

Significantly, Chan played a small part in Lee’s unfortunately last, and era-bending movie. Recently, an old picture from the set of Enter the Dragon got published on social media, creating a stir among the fans. Seeing two legends together, they couldn’t hold back tears and commented accordingly. Let’s dig deeper to know more about this picture.

Lee and Chan were among those remarkable personalities who bridged the gap between East and West. In fact, both were influential in arousing Western interest in Chinese martial arts. While Lee followed his slapstick fierceness and aggressiveness, Chan used his humorous fighting style and fascinating stunts. So when they met, some magic was bound to happen.

In the 1970s, while shooting for Enter the Dragon, Chan shared an iconic scene where he got beaten by the Little Phoenix. The 19-year-old young lad was living his dream. In fact, there was a fighting scene where Lee would kick him, and as it hit Chan across his face, Lee ran to check on him. The Rush Hour actor was having a fanboy moment and wanted the ‘phoenix’ to hold him longer.
