Moreover, the intense battle between the two greatest legends taking place at the monumental location in Rome was his ingenuity. An elaborate comment by a fan stated that Lee would’ve overshadowed his entire weight class single-handedly if he were to compete in the UFC. However, one of the fans criticized his fighting skills and claimed that his martial art isn’t “efficient” in the real world. Nevertheless, the idea behind the striking scene was a topic of wonder to many. 

What inspired the climax?

As per his autobiography, Lee confided in prominent American director, Clint Eastwood’s artistic journey. Stirred by his story, he embarked on his directing endeavor and created the pioneering fight. Moreover, none of the directors from Asia had shined in the West. Thus, he searched for ideal spots in Europe for his final feat in the movie. 

“Kirk Douglas’s Colosseum battle in Spartacus (1960) gave Bruce the idea for a final fight between himself and a Western bad guy. More important, Italy fit with his Eastwood strategy of conquering Hollywood,” the book revealed.
