Freeman recently shared a little secret about snickerdoodle cookies, which have been bringing happiness to his life for a long time. Freeman started his MLB career when he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft. Recently, in March 2022, Freddie Freeman signed a 6-year, $162 M contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

But as he started his new journey with the Dodgers, he carried on with his habit of having some snickerdoodle cookies before and after the games.

Freddie Freeman has a secret to happiness

Dodgers reporter Kirsten Watson interviewed Freddie Freeman before the Dodgers faced the Detroit Tigers on Friday. She asked him about his never-ending love for snickerdoodle cookies, thus bringing a huge smile to his face.

“So, on my previous team (Atlanta Braves), I loved snickerdoodle cookies, and I had snickerdoodle cookies every day. I didn’t know what I was gonna do when I got here,” Freeman said while talking to the reporter.

“But luckily, a guy from the clubhouse named Oscar brought snickerdoodle cookies. They were unbelievable. So I told him that I’m gonna need these cookies every single day. This is how you win in the West. It’s good for your soul, it’s good for your happiness. Eat a cookie, be happy, and hit the ball.”

Now, that is definitely a recipe for happiness. After losing 2 out of three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Los Angeles Dodgers were desperate for wins. So, on Friday, the Dodgers defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-1 at the Dodger Stadium in California. 2 more games against the Giants, and the Dodgers will be ready to host the San Francisco Giants.
