Aaron Boone, the coach of the New York Yankees, believes that the Yankees have a chance to be the table-toppers this season. Notably, Boone was appointed the manager of the Yankees back in 2017. The Yankees have played five matches in the 2022 Spring Training so far, in preparations for the season ahead.

The New York Yankees are one of the oldest teams in Major League Baseball. They have won 40 American League pennants and 27 World Series titles. The last World Series title won by the Yankees was in 2009 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Hence, since his appointment, Aaron Boone has had a dream of reviving the once-glorious New York Yankees and bringing them back to where they belong. Will that dream turn into reality this season?

Coach Aaron Boone on the New York Yankees

Aaron Boone talked to the media about the Yankees recently and the improvements of other teams, not only in the AL East Division but other divisions as well.

“I feel like we have a chance to be great. Our hope and expectation is to be at the top of the heap come season’s end, and that’s what we’re working toward,” stated Coach Aaron Boone on March, 21st, 2022.

In the five games of Spring Training played by the Yankees so far, they have won just one game. The second game was tied, and they lost the remaining three fixtures. With just 14 games remaining in the Spring Training, the Yankees must make the necessary changes in strategies and the lineup in order to be fully prepared for April 7th, 2022. They will be facing the Boston Red Sox at the Yankee Stadium in New York, USA.

Moving on with the 2022 Spring Training, the New York Yankees will face the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, at 6.35 pm Eastern Time. The 2022 Opening Day starts on April 7th, 2022.

So these 14 games will be extremely critical for Aaron Boone and his team. Will Boone create the change to bring the Yankees on top of the heap? We will have to wait for a few weeks to know that.
