Former Houston Astros star Carlos Beltran admits the 2017 scandal was a mistake
The 2017 season has to be one of the most embarrassing years in Major League Baseball history. The Houston Astros cheated every MLB side with their sign-stealing scandal. Carlos Beltran was also a part of that Astros squad. And recently, he openly accepted that they were wrong.

“Yes, we did cross the line…,” said Carlos Beltran. “Looking back today, we were wrong. I wish I would’ve asked more questions about what we were doing…Nobody really said anything. We’re winning, you know, and some days our system really worked. Some days (it) didn’t really work.”
Further, Beltran also accepted that their 2017 World Series title is tainted, as it was not fair to other teams. “What we did, and we all have taken responsibility. And at some point, we all have shown remorse about what we did,” added Beltran.
