WWE is in its full swing with one of the biggest events of the year, the Royal Rumble, concluding at the end of January; Shane McMahon made an appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble. And what’s more, he did it in a Cardinal Red. Sporting a Reds jersey, McMahon made his way down the approach route in the Cardinals jersey and was featured on Twitter doing as much. Brock Lesnar, who had to engage in a final tussle with Drew McIntyre for the win, won the Royal Rumble.

However, baseball fans had something of interest for them during the event too. With Shane McMahon, the son of WWE chairman Vince McMahon, in the mix; he arrived for the event sporting a Cardinals jersey. Some may consider the Cardinals to not have a following the likes of the New York Yankees or the Boston Red Sox.

But they certainly seem to have the high-value fans that most people are after. The Cardinals are a storied team and have been part of the American zeitgeist for a long time.

Like most teams, they are almost indistinguishable from the American landscape; and that was showcased on the night of the Royal Rumble.

And if it’s any solace, the eventual winner of the entire match, Brock Lesnar only eliminated Shane McMahon.

Prior to the Men’s Royal Rumble 2022, Shane McMahon hadn’t featured in a wrestling event for a few months. His last appearance in April 2021, was at WrestleMania 37, where McMahon faced Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage Match. However, it seems as though McMahon was out of luck then too as he lost that encounter to Strowman. McMahon fell from the top of the cage to the canvas below to lose the bout.
