Hence, the mood in the camp right now remains positive. In fact, recently, the Padres players were caught having a fun time while going out for their regular bullpen sessions, at the cost of their star pitcher, Blake Snell.

Recently, a video has been going viral on the internet involving Padres star player Blake Snell, leaving the rest of us in splits.

Earlier on Monday, Fox Sports shared a video on Twitter, in which Blake Snell faced a dilemma as he had to state the difference between a hot dog and a sandwich. The question was, “Is a hot dog a sandwich?” Answering this, almost all players replied with a ‘no’, but even after taking some extra time, Snell answered yes. And watching him make the scientific guess, fans couldn’t contain their laughter.

San Diego Padres acquire Luke Voit from the Yankees, while Fernando Tatis Jr. is out for months due to injury
Fernando Tatis Jr. was sensational in the 2021 season. And this season too, the Padres were expecting him to continue his good form. But shockingly, Tatis is all set to miss a few months of baseball due to injury.

The lockout is another factor. In theory, the Padres would need to prove the December accident caused the scaphoid bone fracture in his left wrist. It took ~3 months for Tatís to report any issues — due to a delay in symptoms arising, the work stoppage, or both. (2/5)

As per reports, Tatis had a motorcycle accident in December, of which he had recovered. But recently, he suffered an additional injury in his wrist while training, due to which he will miss at least three months of baseball action.

Meanwhile, the Padres have also acquired the first baseman, Luke Voit, from the New York Yankees. Now, it will be interesting to see how far they go in the new season.
