It has not been even a month since the 2022 MLB season started. And in such a short period, MLB has delivered pure entertainment to its fans. Recently, in a game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers, Kyle Schwarber lost his cool on the plate.

Earlier on Sunday, the Philadelphia Phillies were playing a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers. After winning the first game of the series, the Phillies lost the second game. The two sides met for the decider game on Sunday, which saw a lot of drama in the ballpark.

Kyle Schwarber ejected from the plate after calling out on the umpire’s strike call

After kicking off their season with a series win against the Oakland Athletics, the Phillies have failed to win a single series since then. The Phillies have managed to win only six games out of 16 games they have played this season. Due to a controversial decision against the Brewers on Sunday, they lost another series.

The incident occurred in the ninth inning of the game when the Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber was batting at the plate. Things got heated between Schwarber and the home plate umpire Angel Hernandez.

Schwarber argued with Hernandez for calling a third strike in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Brewers’ ace Josh Hader. The Phillies star seemed frustrated by Hernandez’s call at the plate. Schwarber could not control himself and slammed his bat on the ground and said a few things to the umpire.

For losing his mind over the home plate umpire Angel Hernandez, Schwarber got ejected from the pate. And ultimately, the Phillies lost the game by 1-0 to the Brewers. With this loss, they also lost the series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

However, no further actions have been taken against Schwarber for his actions in the ballpark. Also, he is expected to play for the Phillies on Monday against the Colorado Rockies.
