New York Mets star Francisco Lindor scored a couple of home runs against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Mets won the game dominantly with a score of 10-3 over the Diamondbacks. Fans were happy to see Lindor back in action after an injury scare against the Washington Nationals.

Francisco Lindor is back in action! The 28-year-old shortstop scored two home runs for the New York Mets and that too from both sides of the plate. It all happened on April 15th, 2022, when the New York Mets faced the Arizona Diamondbacks at Citi Field, New York. The day is unique in MLB, as it is known as The Jackie Robinson Day. MLB legend Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play in the MLB and his debut was on this very day.

The New York Mets defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks easily. Jeff McNeil, Starling Marte, Robinson Cano, and Francisco Lindor scored for the Mets. Meanwhile, Daulton Varsho, Cooper Hummel, and Pavin Smith scored for the Diamondbacks.
Although, Francisco Lindor became the talk of the town as he scored his first left-handed home run in the 5th Inning to a pitch by Zach Davies in the Left Field. Later, in the 8th Inning, Lindor returned to bat, this time with his right hand. Lindor swung his bat to hit his second home run of the day to a pitch by Caleb Smith.
Francisco Lindor has homered from both sides of the plate today.
He has 3 home runs on the season, he didn’t hit his 3rd homer last year until May 15.

In a post-match interview, Lindor talked about the fans and the crowd, as this was the first home game of the season for the New York Mets.
“It felt amazing to be welcomed to one of the greatest fan bases out there. It felt great to be able to hear my home crowd cheer me on and cheer the rest of the guys.”

With this outrageous performance, Francisco Lindor scored his third home run of the MLB 2022 season. Mets fans were delighted to watch their favorite player back in attack. Fans were concerned about Lindor when he was hit in the face by Washington Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray. Yesterday’s performance shows that Lindor is unstoppable and this can be a pretty dominant season for him.
