Freeman makes the switch to LA Dodgers

Freddie Freeman swapped the Braves for the LA Dodgers in free agency and cited that an important factor in his consideration was his family and home. The California native played from Atlanta for 11 years and it seems as though at 32, he wanted to be home. Freeman even said as much in a direct quote once he had finalized the switch.

Freeman entered the Dodgers clubhouse fully ready to take on the challenge. In his first look at the Dodgers facilities, Freeman seemed quite impressed at how it had all turned out. Even though reportedly early morning, Freeman had a good look around the facilities and met several players and Dodgers staff as he got a handle on things.

Freddie Freeman – Quip master

One of the Dodger staff even mentioned that it may be a bit early for Freeman to have come to the clubhouse. Said the Dodger, “What did you get up at 4 o’ clock to get ready?”. But Freeman was quick to respond with how close he was to the Dodgers even before. Said Freeman, “6:30. It doesn’t take much to look good.”

And Freeman wasn’t done with his tete-a-tete for the morning either. With Dave Roberts interacting with him too, the two shared a quip about turning out in Dodger blue, come 2022.
