Seems like the lockout in Major League Baseball is going well with baseball fans. Because on Sunday, a baseball fan vandalized Petco Park by driving his SUV all over the ballpark. Notably, Petco Park is situated in San Diego, California and it is the home stadium of MLB side San Diego Padres.
Well, with the lockout, MLB has paused any baseball activities until players do not agree to the collective bargaining agreement. And baseball fans are definitely not glad about it. After the World Series win of the Atlanta Braves over Houston Astros, fans have not gotten to see a single game in the ballpark.

The World Series game that took place in the first week of November, is now an almost three-month-old story. And with the new season about to start, fans are desperate to come into the ballparks and cheer for their favorite teams.
Man arrested for vandalizing Petco Park with his SUV
Earlier on Friday morning, an intruder entered the San Diego Padres home stadium through a tunnel near a metal supply company in left field and started doing rounds on the field. The video of the man running his car on the field is going viral on the internet.

As per USA TODAY, when the intruder entered the stadium, the staff thought of him as someone who works at their office. But after a while, the staff managed to stop his car. It was not an aggressive action by the intruder and eventually the local police arrested him on felony vandalism charges. Notably, in the last month, Petco Park also hosted bike races and truck rallies.

Lockout in Major League Baseball
With the owners’ imposed lockout in Major League Baseball, the start of the regular season is already in dark. Earlier this week, MLB also postponed the spring training by one week.

Now instead of February 26, spring training of the 2022 season will start on March 5. And if the owners and players do not agree to the new CBA deal, then it is possible that the league will also not start as scheduled.
