Leaving the Yankees performance aside, A-Rod’s personal life has also become a talking point on the internet. Earlier this month, A-Rod’s ex-fiancee, Jennifer Lopez, got engaged to Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck.

Notably, A-Rod and Lopez have dated each other for over four years. But things did not work between the two of them, and later they called it off. However, A-Rod already seems to be moved on from his past with Lopez, but the Yankees vs Red Sox rivalry will not let him move on so quickly.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez got one more reason to hate the Boston Red Sox

Being a Yankee, it is natural for A-Rod to not like the Boston Red Sox. But after JLo engaged with Ben Affleck, he has got one more reason to hate the Red Sox. For those who do not know, Ben Affleck is a die-hard Red Sox fan. And with this, Jlo chose a Red Sox fan over a Yankees legend. All of this must have been very frustrating for A-Rod.

If reports are legitimate, then, while shooting for Gone Girl, Ben Affleck refused to wear a Yankees cap. Instead, he chose to wear a Mets cap. Affleck requested the film director David Fincher to not make him wear the Yankees cap. “David, I love you. I would do anything for you,” Ben Affleck said. He added, “But I will not wear a Yankees hat. I just cannot. I cannot wear it because it’s going to become a thing.”

Recently, an old photo has been going viral on the internet. In the picture, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, both are cheering for the Red Sox.

Talking about the rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, the two are the biggest and probably the oldest rivals in MLB. According to Statmuse, there are 2,229 games have been played between them. And the Yankees have the upper hand against their arch-rivals with a 1222-1007 record.

Even in terms of the most numbers of the World Series titles, The Bronx Bombers are far away from the Red Sox. The Boston Red Sox have just nine World series in their name, while the Yankees have a record 27 World Series titles.
