In the past two or three months in Major League Baseball, the only thing that has remained constant is the lockout. With the lockout still going on, many MLB players must have been frustrated. However, the Yankees star Gerrit Cole is not one of them. Even to attend a meeting with the MLB owners, Cole showed up in style.

Until now, the MLB owners and the Players’ Association have met multiple times for the new CBA. But the two sides still have not reached any agreement. Earlier on Thursday, the Yankees star pulled up in Mustang car for the MLB negotiations. And the Yankees couldn’t resist themselves but troll their own star for his classy appearance.

Gerrit Cole faces backlashes for showing up in a Mustang car

Notably, the owners and the representatives from the players’ union met on Thursday for the new CBA deal. Many baseball fans might not know, but Gerrit Cole, along with some other senior players, including Max Scherzer, represents the players’ union.

However, to attend the MLB negotiations, the Yankees star showed up in a white Mustang car, which many Yankees fans didn’t like. And they went on to troll him for his classy attitude. Taking to Twitter, the Yankees fans said that he must have come in a rental car.

While some made him remember his awful performance against Boston Red Sox in the Wild Card game during the last season.

However, unlike all, one of the Yankees fans appreciated his look and said he definitely has a drip.

Not only Cole, but another MLB star, Max Scherzer, also appeared in his black Porsche to attend the meeting in Florida.

Will the regular season star as per schedule?

MLB has already postponed spring training because of the lockout. And if reports are true, then the owners have given a deadline of Feb 28 to the players’ union for the new CBA. But, it is very unlikely that the players’ union and the owners will agree to the new CBA before February 28. And in such a scenario, the regular season will end up losing the league games.
