This time Ohtani’s interpreter, Ippei Mizuraha, has pulled off something that might stun every baseball fan.

When MLB owners imposed the lockout in December, Ohtani’s translated, Ippei Mizuraha, also resigned from his position at the Angels. However, the LA Angels have hired Mizuraha once again after the lockout.
But according to Sam Blum of The Athletic, it was a pre-planned move by the Angele. They made Mizuraha resign so that he could keep communicating with Ohtani. Because it is a rule that team staff and players cannot contact during the entire lockout. And when the lockout is over, the Angels have hired back Ohtani’s translator back.

Taking to his Twitter, Sam revealed this information. “Here’s a cool bit of info: Shohei Ohtani’s interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, resigned from the Angels over the lockout so he could keep communicating with Ohtani. He’s now hired back with the team since the lockout is over,” tweeted the Athletic reporter.

Notably, the lockout started on December 2, 2021, and when the owners and players agreed to the CBA, it ended on March 10.

During the last season, Ohtani displayed an all-around performance in MLB. He went on to smash 46 home runs and struck out 156 batters in130 innings for the Angels. FOr his fine performances, he also won the American League MVP in the 2021 season.
