But the ring still awaits.

Marcus Stroman Reacts to Joe Burrow

A Twitter user took to the site to proclaim after the win that Kansas should’ve known before it even started when Joe Burrow turned out dressed as he did. And Stroman agreed. The recently acquired Chicago Cubs pitcher was sure to catch every bit of Superbowl action with Major League Baseball still in the lockout.

And while Joe Burrow certainly had the drip, Stroman’s comparing it to the movie led to several users finding and applauding the similarity. “Pulled up looking like Mark Wahlberg from Four Brothers, ” wrote Stroman. One user even tweeting a clip of Wahlberg from the movie. Wahlberg plays a hotheaded hockey player on the search for his foster mother’s killer in the movie. Stroman referenced just that, quoting “No Victor Sweet today,” as a reference to the criminal kingpin from the movie. While Burrow may not have the backstory, he certainly has the look to match.

Joe Burrow looked every bit the “man on a mission” from the minute he arrived in Kansas and walked out with the win. What remains to be seen now, however, is if he can repeat the feat and make the Bengals Superbowl champions in LA. He will face the Los Angeles Rams and go up against Stafford as a counterpart come February 14th.
