Confirming his switch to the LA Dodgers after the lockout, Freeman was well in line for acclimatization to his new team. With Dodger Stadium on the horizon, it was very much meant to be a switch with another World Series win in mind. And the move may just pay off. In a recent interview with the media, Freeman gave an inside scoop on the Dodgers’ mentality. And it is nothing if not, poised to win in 2022.

Freddie Freeman after spending virtually his whole career with the Atlanta Braves opted instead to switch to the LA Dodgers in 2022. After having won the Braves their first pennant in a near on a quarter-century, he left Atlanta a hero. But as a part of his newest mission, it seemed to be to become a hero with the LA Dodgers too. And the clubhouse with the Dodgers seems to have captured his imagination even as spring training winds down for Opening Day.
Freddie Freeman impressed by the LA Dodgers’ mentality
The LA Dodgers are in the middle of a fairly hectic Spring Training camp, but that seems to have had no bearing on how hard they are preparing for the season. Said Freeman, “We just had out first hitters meeting today and it was a lot of information, which is great and a lot guys talked.”
With a vocal clubhouse willing to pool and grow together, success can never be far. And Freeman seemed to understand just that. “They focused so much on the information and taking that and creating a gameplan for everyone,” he added, “it’s been pretty impressive to watch.”

The Dodgers have been one of MLB’s most storied franchises. Having dominated their division in recent, years, 2021 saw them relinquish control by just a single game; and if Freeman is to be believed they are not happy about it. Said Freeman, “They are not happy with themselves; with how they played last year.”

The LA Dodgers set their eye on a championship
All in all Freeman seemed fairly impressed with the pressure that the Dodgers were placing on themselves to perform. Said Freeman, “It’s amazing how high of a standard they have here and it runs from top to the bottom”.
He added, “And everyone’s pulling on the same rope here which is amazing. Everyone has one common goal and that’s to win a championship.”
