The New York Yankees are looking to build for the 2022 season. And everything does seem to be coming up just right. With their dugout already full of superstar players like Gerrit Cole and Aaron Judge, the Yankees even stand to make a play for superstar shortstop Correa once the lockout ends. However, at present, their roster is chock-a-block with talent. And Aaron Judge is a big reason why.

The Yankees’ outfielder has endeared himself to Yankees fans and has only grown in the hearts of the Bronx faithful. He was drafted by the New York outfit in 2013 and spent some time in their farm system. Making his debut in 2017, the youngster immediately made an impact in the major leagues. So much so that he won the Rookie of the year in his debut season.

But perhaps, Judge’s biggest achievement is his love for the Yankees fanbase, and how they have accepted him with open arms as well. Infact, one of the biggest hindrances for the New York franchise holding out on Correa has been said to be an extension for Judge being uncertain.

Judge and the Yankees’ fanbase

With the lockout still underway, Judge seems to be doing the two things that he has always done. Throwing bona fide missiles and winning over fans.

The video sees Judge challenge himself. Judge can be seen practicing on the field. However the fans, eager to connect with their favorite Yankee can be seen trying to get his attention from their room.

Judge notices and Judge delivers. With pin point precision and a great arm to go with it, Judge thrown an attempt to the eager fan. Grasping at the ball with both hands, Judge seems to have left an indelible mark on the fans’ baseball memories based on their reaction. Sporting the pinstripes, the fan will definitely treasure the baseball for a long long time.

However, Judge’s future with the Yankees remain under question. With the player’s contract set to term by next year, the Yankees could be looking at re-signing Judge. But the finances to handle a superstar like Judge will be under question. Especially if the Correa transfer is to go through.

This could indeed mean that even though both sides have shown great affection for one another, we see Judge depart the Bronx next season. For the sake of the Bronx Bombers we hope that they manage to re-sign the fan favorite and they they are finally able to put together a World Series bid in 2022.
