Domingo German Injury Update
Domingo German felt uncomfortable with his shoulder during the end of the MLB 2021 season. The Yankees started their throwing program back in December 2021, and German started facing some difficulties during this program as well, which resulted in swelling in his shoulder. Taking both these instances into consideration, the New York Yankees decided to put German on a 60-day Injured List.

Aaron Boone’s Statement on the injury
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone addressed Domingo German’s injury.
“He’s just starting his throwing program now. When you haven’t thrown in probably a couple of months and you’re just beginning a throwing program, do the math on it. It’s a pretty big build-up,” said Boone.

When asked about the future for German considering his injury crisis, Boone said, “It’s early January since he threw a ball (before this week), so it’s kind of a start over. My understanding is at this point he feels well, but obviously it’s the ramp up now.”
It is not a secret that Domingo German is a valuable asset for the New York Yankees. With just a 5-year experience in the MLB, German has a total of 571 strikeouts. The Yankees ended the MLB 2021 with 92 wins and 70 losses in the East Division of the American League.
