The New York Mets have enjoyed a pretty successful 2022 offseason. Despite the looming lockout, the Queens franchise managed to ensure some solid additions to their roster prior to the lockout and reportedly are looking to strengthen more when it comes to the off-season. One place the Mets will not need reinforcements, though is in their fan roster. With superstar songwriter Rihanna sporting Mets merchandise recently, it seems as though they have done well to capture the celebrity fans.
The New York Mets have sported several celebrities as their fans in the past and it doesn’t look like they are slowing down. And with new ownership that looks ready to invest and invest well, the Mets only seem to be headed in one direction; Up.

However, the most recent addition to the blue and orange may have drawn some more fans over to Queens too. With Rihanna garnering a record fan following with her music, the Mets could be seeing some solid numbers ding up their fan register in the near future.

Rihanna was recently spotted sporting a New York Mets t-shirt while she was out and about in the city. And while Rihanna’s life is fairly glamorous, it was certainly enough to get Mets fans excited when she sported their team’s apparel.

The 34-year-old pop star was out and about for the night with her beau A$AP Rocky. The two are set to be parents to Rihanna’s firstborn with whom she is currently pregnant. The pair reportedly were out for dinner with Rihanna’s younger brother as they set out for their meal.

Fans of the popstar have eagerly been awaiting a release for some time now. The Barbadian last had a release in 2016 and has since devoted her time to her other pursuits including beauty products. Reportedly, Rihanna’s newest album may drop sometime later this year and the fans are up in a buzz about it.
And speaking of long-awaited events, the end of the lockout. The Mets will be eager for an end to the lockout. With negotiations going by painstakingly slowly and progress marginally through talks recently. With spring training officially delayed to March 5th, fans will be hoping for a quick resolution. Many will be hoping no games are lost to the lockout, but in the meantime, one can only hope.
