Christian Yelich has been through a lot in the last few years. A player of his caliber missed two prime years of his career due to injuries. But not this time, as he is ready to get back to his old self back. Recently, while talking to MLB.com, Yelich said that his biggest aim is to remain healthy in this season.

“People have come from a lot of winning teams and it’s been a reason why we’ve been so good the last few years. My biggest thing is just being able to stay healthy,” said Christian Yelich.

Yelich said, he has got a good team for the 2022 season. The Brewers star also expressed his views on his leadership role and said that he doesn’t really look at himself as a leader.

“We’ve got a good team,” added Yelich. “A lot of guys coming back from the last few years and it’s always an exciting time of the year when spring training and there’s a lot of optimism… I don’t look at myself as like, oh I got to be the leader…”

Despite being all said, the upcoming season will be very crucial for Yelich… Because the Brewers will be counting on their biggest star to perform in his comeback season.
