Recently, while talking to Ben Verlander, Ramone Russell of the PlayStation revealed the developers had to do a lot of hard work in order to get Ohtani to play in MLB The Show 22.
“When you have somebody who comes along. And you have to re-write codes to get him to work properly in the game. Because the game has no idea what is a two-way player. You are either a pitcher on the court or a hitter. You are not both. So we had to re-write tons of lines of new codes to get Shohei to actually be usable in the game,” said Russell to Ben Verlander.
