Recently, a clause related to Major League Baseball is going viral on the internet, which allows players to play in a different league. According to ESPN’s Enrique Rojas, such players who are on the 40-man MLB roster and those who are free agents can play in the Mexican Baseball League. While the clause also said that minor league players cannot play in the Mexican Baseball League.

Rojas shared an MLB’s clause with the Mexican Baseball League on Twitter, which says, “While the MLB lockout lasts, the players in 40 men roster of the Major League Organizations, as well as free agents, may be hired by the LMB clubs. This does not include Minor League Players.”

What is a 40-man roster?

Well, it is a group of players who are eligible to make their place in the active 25 man roster. In postseason games, any team can play only those players who are in their 40-man roster.
