The ongoing lockout in MLB has stayed in place for almost 2 months now. And the complications between the owners and players don’t seem to end anytime soon. With the lockout still in force, not only spring training but the league games are also in danger.

Notably, league commissioner Rob Manfred had imposed the lockout when the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the owners and players expired on December 2 last year. Now, new reports say that Manfred will be addressing the media in the coming days amidst the lockout.

Earlier in the last week, the players’ association declined the owners’ request to include a federal mediator for any further negotiations. As they do want to bring any third party to the table. Instead, the players’ association said that they are still ready for the negotiations with the owners.
