Notably, the owners’-imposed locked has affected Major League Baseball from its core. But with this huge streaming deal with Apple, MLB has taken a step forward to make the game of baseball global. Now, baseball fans will not have to search for an alternative to watch MLB, especially on Friday nights.

“Friday Night Baseball, Weekly Doubleheaders, And More”- MLB and Apple announce a new streaming partnership

This announcement came on Tuesday by MLB and Apple. As per their new deal, Apple will exclusively stream two Friday Night games on Apple TV+ every week from the next season onwards. Apart from live games, the “Friday Night Baseball” will also feature pregame and post-game shows.

And these services will not be just for the US, but people from Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and the United Kingdom will also be able to enjoy this service of Apple TV+.

Fans can also watch the marquee games each Friday, which will be completely free from the local broadcasters’ restrictions. Especially those who face blackout issues at MLB.tv. This new service by Apple will be surely welcomed by baseball fans across the globe.

After this deal with MB, Apple is in no mood to slow down. As the tech giant also has a keen eye on NFL. Because at the end of this season, the league’s “Sunday Ticket” will expire and that will open an opportunity for Apple to grab another sporting deal.

Lockout in Major League Baseball

When the CBA deal between the owners and players expired on December 2 last year, MLB owners imposed a work stoppage in Major League Baseball. And since then, the owners and players have met multiple times for the new CBA. However, even now, there is no agreement between the two sides.
