Sometimes your heroes over-deliver. With Mike Trout, that has been true more times than not. Though, this time Trout took it a notch further; he didn’t just deliver on the field beyond his expectations; he delivered off it too. Earlier this week, the Evansville Devils Twitter account had corrected the former MVP’s bat swing, adding their own analysis to it. They were missing one crucial detail, though. They were unaware it was Mike Trout they were critiquing. Despite that, Trout took it all in a friendly spirit, even tweeting to the account later in the week.

The Evansville Devils Twitter account often takes to the site to talk about clips of players on the site. And in this case, they were just doing what their account set out to do. After having gone through the complete exercise of describing how the swing was inaccurate, other Twitter users stepped in to inform them of the true identity of the Anaheim Angel. Immediately regretful, the account apologized to the player; but the ever graceful Mike Trout went above and beyond. He, in fact, promised some solid gear to the account for the work that they were doing.
