From baseball fans to players, everyone is annoyed with the ongoing lockout in Major League Baseball. It’s been over two months now since the league commissioner Rob Manfred imposed the lockout. And with the lockout still in place, the opening day is likely to be delayed. Now, MLB star Marcus Stroman has taken a dig at the league commissioner Rob Manfred over the current scenario in MLB.

Notably, the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the players and the owners expired on December 2, 2021. Since then, both sides have met multiple times but there is still no agreement between the two parties.

Recently, on Friday, the MLB Players’ Association rejected the owners’ request to include a Federal Mediator for any further negotiation. The proposal to include mediation came after the owners refused to offer a counterproposal to the players’ association. However, MLB Players are still clear on their stand as they do not want to bring any third party between the negotiation.

“The clearest path to a fair and timely agreement is to get back to the table. Players stand ready to negotiate,” said the statement from the MLBPA.

Marcus Stroman trolls MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred

Considering the recent scenario in Major League Baseball, it is possible that not only spring training but the league games will also be hampered by the lockout. Players are definitely not glad about the responses from Rob Manfred and MLB owners. Recently, the Chicago Cubs star Marcus Stroman trolled Rob Manfred for the lockout.

Stroman took to Twitter to troll MLB Commissioner and didn’t hold back even one bit with his criticism. In a response to a report from SI, which suggested the regular season is most likely to be delayed, Stroman blasted over Manfred.

He referred to Manfred as “Manclown” and asked him to stop ruining the game of baseball. “Manclown and his boys need to figure it out and stop ruining the game of baseball,” said Stroman.
