Notably, the Dodgers outfielder is struggling with his form for a long time. After a dreadful year in 2021, Bellinger is playing even worse. The regular season is just a few days away, and Bellinger’s form is definitely a worrying sign for the Dodgers.
However, the LA Dodgers manager Dave Roberts still has full faith in the young outfielder. And he expects Bellinger to be ready for the season.
Cody Bellinger continues his poor form in spring training
Ever since making his MLB debut in 2017, Cody Bellinger has played only for the Dodgers. And since then, he has been a key part of the roster. Even during the 2020 season, Bellinger played an instrumental role in LA Dodgers’ World Series victory.
The Dodgers star is struggling with his form since the last season. Even in the spring training games ahead of the 2022 season, his numbers are horrible. Out of 19 at-bats, Bellinger has 14 strikeouts, including 8 strikeouts in a row.
However, Bellinger has got the support of the Dodgers manager. According to the OCR, Dave Roberts expects Bellinger to be ready for the season. Roberts said that the stats don’t matter and Bellinger is still working on getting his timing down.
Crazy…Cody Bellinger now has 14 strikeouts in 19 spring ABs and 8 strikeouts in a row.

“The bottom line is Cody is still working through getting calibrated, getting his timing down. Fortunately, the stats don’t matter. But his work has been consistent. I expect him to be ready for the season,” said Dave Roberts.
