The last two days have been the busiest ones in the past three months of Major League Baseball. As soon as the lockout ended, the free agency came back to life. And since then, the rumors around top free agents have worried many MLB teams and their fans. Knowing that Freddie Freeman is a trending topic in MLB, the star-free agent has not signed for any team yet.

From the New York Yankees to his former team, Atlanta Braves, Freddie Freeman was a target for a few of the top MLB sides. But the recent trends might upset both the Yankees and the Braves. Because right now the Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorites to sign the MLB star.

As per the latest reports, the Dodgers might have discussed a multi-year contract with Freeman, one which is too good for him to say no to.

During the lockout, it seemed like Freeman would end up at either the Yankees or his former team, Atlanta Braves. But in the last two days, the Dodgers have emerged as a serious bidder for Freeman.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, LA Dodgers are making a strong push for Freeman, and they have also offered him a multi-year contract. Taking to his Twitter, Morosi also confirmed that the Freeman deal will reach a conclusion in 24 hours. And it is not clear whether the Braves will match the Dodgers’ offer for Freeman or not.

“Freddie Freeman negotiations expected to reach a conclusion in next 24 hours and possibly by the end of tonight. Dodgers have made a strong offer, and it is unclear if the Braves will match it,” tweeted Jon Morosi.

If Freddie Freeman manages to sign for the Dodgers, then the reigning World Series champion will come back to his native home in California.

Ever since making his MLB debut in the 2010 season, Freddie Freeman has not played for any other team, except Atlanta Braves. He also played a key role in the Braves’ successful season in the last year. The Atlanta Braves ended up winning both the World Series and the National League.
