In the last 10-15 years, the New York Yankees have not been the dominant force they were once known as. However, there is no denying that the Yankees are still one of the most successful teams in Major League Baseball. Many youngsters who know a thing about baseball always dream of playing for the Yankees one day. But with all that said, their current state simply doesn’t justify their status.

Nevertheless, it seems like the good old days will soon be back at the Bronx. Recently, the Yankees’ top prospect, Jasson Dominguez, announced that he will be making his major league debut very soon. 

But with him making his MLB debut, it will be tough for Dominguez to establish his place in the Yankees squad.

Jasson Dominguez to replace Aaron Judge at New York Yankees?

Considering the current scenario at the Yankees, their star players, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton, have no competition for their playing positions. So if Dominguez makes his major league debut in the next season, then he will have to fight both Judge and Stanton for his desired playing position.

While talking to NJ.Com, the Yankees prospect said that his main goal is to remain healthy to mark his MLB debut.

“I know if I’m healthy, the other things, I can’t control that,” Dominguez said. “But (staying healthy) is the principal goal.

Aaron Judge’s contract with the Yankees

Notably, Aaron Judge’s contract with the Yankees will expire after the 2022 season. And if the Yankees do not renew his contract, then he will become a free agent after this season. 

Currently, the lockout has put a hold on all kinds of business. Hence, only once the lockout ends fans will find some clarity and certainty over Aaron’s future in MLB.
