Aaron Judge has long been a Yankees favorite. After his stellar rookie year, the star hitter has dominated MLB with his sheer hitting power. And with his contract running into arbitration in 2023, he has clearly expressed the need to get an extension done before Opening Day 2022. The front office of the Yankees, too, has expressed their desire to have him back; however, a deal still remains beyond the two parties.
Could a deal come about?
Nothing has been agreed upon until now, but the possibility of the deal is very much alive. The new announcer for the New York Yankees, Carlos Beltran, recently let slip the possibility of an extension agreed upon between the two, but Judge was quick to clarify after the game.

Aaron Judge focused on the season ahead
The reason that Judge seems to have put the Opening Day deadline appears to be clear. Once the season starts, he intends to concentrate on being the best player he can be. Speaking to reporters, he was clear that once the season began; he was a man on a mission.
Judge on the self-imposed April 7th deadline: “After Opening Day, I got a job to do. I got something to focus on. We’ll see at the end of the year… if it comes to that point; it is what it is. Either way, it's going to be one year or multiple years, so I'm not too worried.” https://t.co/jhVC54Ot2k
