“It Took Me 20 Years”- Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez Makes Blast From the Past Revelation About Jennifer Lopez

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez has been a big part of the media landscape in America. Having burst into the scene as a young emergent MLB player, he has gone on to achieve heights not many players have seen. And yet when you look back at a time when he was still making his way through the league, you only see the supreme confidence we have always known him to have. And that was all too clear as A-Rod reflected on a 1998 clip where he had asked for Jennifer Lopez to be his dream date.

Alex Rodriguez started dating Jennifer Lopez in 2018 and was even engaged to the pop star in 2019. The couple, however, parted ways in early 2021. This story is from a time before. A time when A-Rod had recently proposed to Jennifer Lopez, and was now ready to plan his marriage with the artist. And sporting the Seattle Mariners uniform, he remembered a time when the young shortstop made some bold claims.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez names his dream date

The interview quickly cuts to a news video clipping featuring Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez. The reporter asks, “What would a dream date with Alex Rodriguez be?”

And pat comes the reply. Says Rodriguez, “Jennifer Lopez. Hopefully, you can find me a date with her”

Cutting back to the interview, A-Rod smiles from cheek to cheek as he looks back at his younger self. Says A-Rod, “That means that dreams actually do come true in America.”

And while Rodriguez may have achieved his then dream, there does seem to be a time delay. A-Rod acknowledged it too. “It took me 20 years,” he said.

Unfortunately, the relationship between A-Rod and J-Lo fell apart earlier this year. And while Jennifer Lopez has been spotted with Hollywood star Ben Affleck, A-Rod still seems to be testing the waters, romantically speaking. Despite being spotted with fitness model Kathryn Padgett, he is yet to admit to a relationship. However, it is rumored that the two are dating.
