Hernandez opens up about Trevor Story
Hernandez believed that Story will be a perfect fit for the Boston franchise. Having played a majority of his career as a shortstop, Story could be expected to man the same spot for the Red Sox. Hernandez, however, has a slightly different read on the situation.
Hernández on transitioning from SS to 2B: “I've always said that if you can play shortstop, you can play anywhere. And I've seen [Story] play enough to know that he's incredibly athletic; he’s gifted. I don't doubt one bit that he's going to be able to transition smoothly to 2B."
