In any sports, records are meant to be broken. It does not matter how big the record is, one day an individual will come and beat that record. It is the nature of individuals to continue to strive to do that. And that is the beauty of sports. But there are still some records that are almost impossible to break.

Ben Verlander on Cal Ripken’s record

When Verlander put up the tweet, he also posted his opinion in the same. According to Ben Verlander, Cal Ripken’s record of playing 2,632 consecutive games is something that no one can match.

The Baltimore Orioles legend had played 21 seasons in MLB, and that too for only the Orioles. During his MLB career, Ripken played 2,632 consecutive games. Which is still a record.

McCullers said, “Personally, I don’t think any pitcher will ever top Nolan Ryans 5714 career strike outs. He was way way ahead of his time ‘stuff’ wise & with so much long term success and health. You look at the Rocket & Randy J. that are still way behind even with their storied careers.

During his 27-year long career in major league baseball, Nolan Ryan racked up 5,714 strikeouts. He made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 1966 and played his last game with Texas Rangers in 1993. It is very unlikely that someone will break his career strikeouts record. With 4,875 strikeouts, Randy Johnson is second on the list, who has also retired from the game.
