Freddie Freeman seems to have made his way into most key free-agent conversations come to the 2022 off-season. Despite initially being expected to have been a sure-shot signing for the Braves, the first baseman seems to have broadened his horizons to other franchises as well. And with the LA Dodgers as well as the New York Yankees in tow, we can expect some big money before Freeman confirms his 2022 home stadium.

Despite being considered a sure prospect for re-signing prior to the lockout; Freeman now seems to be available to several suitors. And despite the price tag being higher than what the Atlanta Braves may be willing to give, several teams may be more than willing to dole it out.
Freddie Freeman – Top Prospect?
Freddie Freeman could well emerge as the prospect of the 2022 off-season. With the 32-year-old offering a perfect blend of offensive output and variety, he can stand to be a key contributor.

Add to that Freeman is an experienced player that has Championship experience and you have what can be called the queen of the chessboard in terms of signings. Especially in fits for several teams across the league.

MLB reporter Jon Morosi too reported that while the Braves and the Dodgers were both in contact with the player’s camp, a decision was still some ways away.
Dodgers at the least have emerged as a very viable alternative for superstar Freddie Freeman, who winters in Corona Del Mar. Braves aren’t talking but some others get the feeling they think they’d be fine with Matt Olson, assuming they can get him. Bigger $ likely for him in LA.

Noted Journalist Jon Heyman too seemed to believe that while the first baseman does have a strong connection with the Braves, the LA Dodgers were emerging as strong contenders for his signature in the seasons to come.
Potential Moves for Freeman
Reportedly, the Braves seemed to be alright signing Matt Olson as a replacement at first base for the seasons to come. Heyman also stated that it was likely that Freeman could be set to make more money with the Dodgers if they were to sign him.

This, however, is nothing to say for interest from other parties that were initially in on the first baseman too. Not the least among them, the most successful team in baseball, the New York Yankees. However, Heyman did admit that with the time passing, this seemed like an uphill task for the pinstripes and not just on account of geographical reasons.
Yankees as of last night anyway were still in on Freeman. They love him, but geographically they may have a hill to climb (he lives in Atlanta and the OC) https://t.co/nU5aIdTnTJ
