Even though Major League Baseball is going through a massive work stoppage for over two months, the rumors of trading and the new contract of MLB players never stop. From Carlos Correa, Aaron Judge, Clayton Kershaw, and Freddie Freeman, everyone is desperate for their new contract. Some of them who are free agents still do not know for which team they will play their next season.
However, a recent report suggests that star free agent and World Series winner Freddie Freeman might not leave the Atlanta Braves and will sign another contract with his former team. Notably, a couple of weeks ago, there were strong rumors that the former Braves star might switch his team and join the New York Yankees. But that doesn’t seem to be an option now.
Freddie Freeman to stay at the Braves?

Recently, when top MLB insider Jon Heyman made his presence in a podcast, he revealed that even after so much of rumors with the Yankees, Freddie Freeman’s will ultimately land at the Atlanta Braves. While Heyman also confirmed that the Braves have hurt their star player. But eventually, he will not go with the New York Yankees.

“I think Freeman really fits this team. I think they really think he does. He certainly has been disappointed. That said, I still think the Braves are the most likely for Freddie Freeman,” Heyman said. “So the Yankees do not get Freddie Freeman, who I think is their first choice right now. They’re going to have to consider a lot of other options to really be a competitive team.”

Notably, earlier the Yankees were also in the line to sign the star first baseman, and they are still trying hard to get Freeman. However, Freeman’s next destination is still unclear. But given that he has played only for the Braves, it’ll be better if he stays at his former place.
