The Atlanta Braves capped an unbelievable postseason run with the ring in 2021. Winning the pennant after almost a quarter-century was certainly a special occasion at Truist Park; and on a day to commemorate the win, it was all too clear why. The Braves team and staff were presented with their memorabilia for last season before they took on the Cinccinati Reds at Truist Park on Saturday and suffice it to say, the team’s bling quotient certainly saw an upturn.

The Atlanta Braves’ World Series-winning ring has some serious bling. With the occasion had come about for the first time since 1995, the Braves have certainly held back no stops to mark this as a moment in their history.

While the rings are definitely markers of defining moments across the 2021 season, there are other marked influences too. Specific to the Braves franchise, the rings have several elements that make the win a more joyous occasion.

The bling factor for the Atlanta Braves

The top of the ring features the Braves’ ‘A’ logo marked out in white gold. Besides, the 18.71 karat gold is special too in that it marks the inception of the franchise in 1871. The ring also features the words “World Champions” along the top and bottom of the ring face.

To go with the laden theme, there are 150 diamonds representing 150 years of the franchise’s history within the logo itself.

A total of 44 diamonds adorn the top of the ring on the left and right sides to honor a legend; with Hank Aaron passing away last year, the diamonds represent the legend’s jersey number when he took the field for the Atlanta Braves.

The corners of the top also feature 4-princess cut rubies to mark the Braves’ World Series win so far. The ring features some heavy-duty gems. With a mind-boggling count of 755 diamonds, four custom-cut rubies, four princess-cut rubies, 11 round rubies, and the genuine white pearl set in the ring. The total gem carat weight of the ring is approximately 13.3 carats.

Special features of the ring

That is simply what you see on the surface. The top of the ring can be removed to reveal even more commemorative features. These include a miniature model of Truist Park encompassed within the ring. There are 11 rubies on the miniature ballpark to mark the 11 landing spots of the Braves’ World Series home runs.

And the Braves haven’t lost out on a personal touch either. The ring features an inscription reading “7.30.21”; likely to mark the 2021 Trade deadline during which they formalized the services of their postseason heroes; these including World Series MVP Jorge Soler, as well as NLCS MVP Eddie Rosario and star slugger Adam Duvall.

The ring seemed special to several on the roster. Braves manager Brian Snitker said, “This ring, I could go on and on. Everything is something in that ring. Everything has a meaning.”

But do you think the Braves have overdone it? Or do you think they should have gone flashier?
